Week 7 19/11/2012
Reading
15 minutes reading to an adult every night. This week our reading focus is Interpreting figurative language.
Sometimes, writers use words in such a way that their meaning is different from their usual meaning.
Eg. Someone who has told a secret might say
“I spilled the beans.”
See if you can identify any figurative language in your nightly reading.
Spelling
Our spelling focus this week is silent letters. Write your spelling words into bubble writing and underline the silent
letters.
